Production

On April 19, 2013, Novapetroleo has acquired W Petroleo, that became its subsidiary Novapetroleo Recôncavo, assuming four oil producing fields that have together a 29,2 km2 area. The production concessions are placed in the central area of the Recôncavo Basin, near to the operational headquarters of the company in the city of Catu and the city of Alagoinhas, 90 km NE of Salvador.

FAZENDA SANTO ESTEVÃO

Area: 11 km2

Abbreviation: FSE

Location: Alagoinhas – BA.

Discovery: Well 1-FSE-01-BA, in July 1967. Developed by 28 wells, 14 oil producing good quality, between 31 and 35° API. Two wells are currently active, producing approximately 200 bopd.

FAZENDA RIO BRANCO

Area: 4,48 km2

Abbreviation: FRB

Location: Catu – BA

Discovery: Well 1-FRB-01-BA, in May 1994. Developed by 5 wells, 4 oil producing good quality, between 31 and 35° API. Two wells are currently active, producing approcimately 15 bopd.

SAUÍPE

Area: 4,0 km2

Abbreviation: SE

Location: Alagoinhas –BA

Discovery: Well 1-SE-01-BA,  in May 1960. Developed by 8 wells, 2 oil producing good quality, between 30 and 35° API. Currently the field is not producingwaiting seismic acquisition and reservoir study.

TICO – TICO

Area: 13,2 km2

Abbreviation: TT

Location: Catu-BA

Discovery: Well 1-WW-01-BA, in August 2007. With only one wellthe initial production of the field was approximately 90 bopd and rapid decline to an average of 9 bopd. The Tico-Tico oil is of good quality (35 º API), but shows repeated productions problems because it’s highly paraffinicNovapetroleo is currently testing the application of a pumping system with injection of paraffin inhibitors and heating oil that is resulting in progressive back field production.
