TICO – TICO
Area: 13,2 km2
Abbreviation: TT
Location: Catu-BA
Discovery: Well 1-WW-01-BA, in August 2007. With only one well, the initial production of the field was approximately 90 bopd and rapid decline to an average of 9 bopd. The Tico-Tico oil is of good quality (35 º API), but shows repeated productions problems because it's highly paraffinic. Novapetroleo is currently testing the application of a pumping system with injection of paraffin inhibitors and heating oil that is resulting in progressive back field production.
